SENIOR TRAINING
Outdoor nets and training evenings for senior teams
Outdoor net and training sessions for the 1st and 2nd senior teams take place May to September on Thursday evenings at the club from 6-8pm.
3rd and 4th team net and training sessions take place May to September on Wednesday evenings, 6-8pm.

Winter nets in full swing - come along!
Our indoor winter net sessions for the senior teams squads will run from 4th January to 5th April 2025 at the Charlbury Community Centre, 9-11am. Adults £5 per session, students £3 per session.
YOUTH TRAINING
All Stars and Dynamos at Shipton
Our All Stars (5-8 years) and Dynamos (8-10 years) programmes will run from 16th May to 18th July 2025. Booking will open on 13th March 2025 on the ECB website.
Youth players nets and training
Nets and training start in April 2025 for our U11, U13 and U15 squads as follows:
U11 (years 5 & 6) training - Friday evenings 6pm - 7.30pm, matches - Sunday mornings.
U13 (years 7 & 8) training - Monday evenings 6pm - 7.30pm, matches - Thursday evenings.

U15 (years 9 & 10) training - Wednesday evenings, matches - Monday evenings.
​
U19 (years 11 to 13) training - with 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th teams, matches - Monday evenings from July to August.

Senior Cricket
Two home and two away games are played each Saturday through the season.

3rd and 4th XI training takes place on Tuesday evenings and 1st and 2nd XI training is on Thursday evenings from mid-April.

A dedicated team of coaches and helpers ensure we offer player-centred coaching sessions where developing cricket skills is fun, exciting and safe for players at all stages of cricket development.

Friday Evening Sessions
Our long-established Friday evening training sessions are for children in school years 3-6 taking part in our All Stars and Dynamos programmes and U11 hardball squad. Sessions run from the end of April to mid-July.
U11 hardball:
U11s train on Friday evenings, 6pm - 7.30pm beginning in April 2025, and play their matches on Sunday mornings.
All Stars: 16th May to 18th July:
5.15pm - 6pm
Dynamos: 16th May to 18th July:
6.15pm - 7.30pm

Midweek Youth Cricket
Our U13, U15, U19 mixed squads train and play their matches on weekday evenings. There are also opportunities for youth players to gain experience in our four senior teams which play each weekend throughout the summer. Sessions run from end of April to mid-July.
Session times: 6pm-7.30pm
U13s train on Monday evenings beginning April 2025, matches Thursday evenings.
U15s train Wednesday evenings beginning April 2025, matches Monday evenings.
U19s matches on Monday evenings beginning 29th July 2024.

Girls Cricket
To boost cricket for girls at Shipton, we will be running the ECB’s Dynamos softball cricket programme which is available to girls and boys from 8-11 years. This is part of our Friday night programme.
Our U11, U13 and U15 girls, who play in mixed teams across all age groups will also be invited to play in cricket festivals and friendly fixtures throughout the season, subject to numbers.

All Stars is the perfect introduction to cricket for girls and boys aged 5 to 8 years old.​

Dynamos at Shipton will start on 16th May 2025
For all girls and boys aged 8 to 10 years old, either graduating from All Stars or totally new to cricket.
