We are a friendly and competitive Cotswold cricket club offering senior and youth league cricket for all ages and abilities

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of a Shipton stalwart. Dave ‘Dolly’ Dolton was a remarkable cricketer and true gent, who represented the club for over forty years. As a young man Dolly was a quick bowler, but as time passed he converted himself into an excellent opening batsmen. Dolly did the ground for many years and he somehow found the time to serve the club, with distinction, as Vice Chairman. Dave was an influential, mild mannered and loyal friend to a host of players and an integral part of the club.

There is a private family funeral this Wednesday, to be followed by a thanksgiving memorial ceremony at Burford Church on Tuesday 25th June at 11.45am and afterwards at the Church House.

Rest in peace Dolly, from the many that had the pleasure to know you.
